UPDATE: After watching the video on TedTalks, John McWhorter "txtin is killing language. JK!!" I then realized, that texting has never been a problem towards us as learners, because it has always been a problem with writing and for some of us, even speaking. Like how McWhorter stated, "texting is its own language". Texting has no rules and no need for punctuation or capital letters.

Does texting make us bad writers?
Technology has advanced over the past couple of years. For example instead having to write and send a letter to someone, you can just type up an email and with a click of a button they receive an email in their inbox within seconds. But the real question is, "does texting make us bad writers?" In my opinion it does, I feel like the younger generation has become lazy, and depend everything on technology these days. Texting has it pros and cons, a pro being able to contact someone with just a simple message within seconds, and a con being losing interaction with the person you're having a conversation with and also lack of writing/ grammar skills.
